Details: Guest Instructor Lorraine Patti will be teaching you the basics of Free Motion Quilting (with your “regular” sewing machine!) This class will cover the real basics of setting up the machine, adjusting tension, preparing the quilt top/sandwich, practicing a few designs (both drawing and stitching.)

Required Supplies:
–Sewing machine in good working order. {Know how to drop the feed dogs!}
–Slide on or extension table that fits your machine.
–Open or closed toe embroidery foot or darning foot or quilting foot (not a walking foot)
–Size 90/14 or 80/12 Topstitch needles
–4 Quilt Sandwiches 15” square—suggested fabrics: solids or tone on tone fabrics (I want you to be able to see your stitching.) Use a low loft batting
–Thread to match your quilt sandwiches (40 or 50 weight)
